The 141st Annual Meeting of the Pharmaceutical Society of Japan (Hiroshima)

Division of Medicinal Chemistry at The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan commends research results, including innovative content that contributes to the development of drug discovery, as Breakthrough Award of the Division of Medicinal Chemistry, PSJ. Specifically, the awards are given to original research on drugs or bioactive compounds that have a novel chemical structure as pharmaceuticals, and original research that contributes to drug discovery with new technologies and methods. In addition, from the general oral presentations and poster presentations at the Medical Chemistry Symposium, several research results including remarkable contents that contribute to the progress and future development of drug discovery are commended as Award for Excellent General Presentation in the Medicinal Chemistry Symposium. At this symposium, the award ceremony and award lecture of the 2020 Breakthrough Award of the Division of Medicinal Chemistry, PSJ, and the award lecture of the 2019 Award for Excellent General Presentation in the Medicinal Chemistry Symposium will be given. We hope that through the active sharing of knowledge and experience of these excellent research results, new ideas that will lead to the identification of breakthrough new drugs will be born.
