The study of drug interaction involving pharmaceutical excipients from clinical perspective

With innovative advancements in drug-discovery technology, large numbers of therapeutic target molecules have recently been identified. Although novel treatment agents that modulate the function of target molecules have been widely used in clinical settings, multiple trials and errors are often necessary for proper medication due to a lack of enough clinical evidence, especially in new innovative pharmacotherapies. Therefore, clinical pharmacists are required to provide novel clinical evidence in medical settings.  <br />In this symposium, we would like to present the latest topics and their backgrounds concerning the basic and clinical research conducted by clinical pharmacists working in clinical settings. In order to consider the meaning and importance of research activities by clinical pharmacists, we discuss the current status of research conducted by hospital pharmacists, their clinical questions and issues, and Future clinical application.
