[Room 302] Conference Center 302 (3F)

From the perspective of hygiene, we routinely wash our hands and skin, then apply moisturizing products. A variety of cleansers and moisturizers have become available on the market as a result of developments in formulation technology, but it is also true that many consumers suffer skin problems due to the lack of guidance on proper cleansing procedures and moisturizer application. At this symposium, we will review information on skin targeted for moisturizing, and we will learn about the purposes of cleansing and moisturizing the skin, and how and when to use different cleansing and moisturizing products. There will also be a presentation from a dermatologist, who treats skin problems arising from skincare products, about what to be careful of when cleansing the skin, skincare guidance for consumers with skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis, and evidence for the usefulness of skincare as a tool to complement medical treatment.
