Argument mining is concerned with extracting structures such as claims, premises, and counterarguments that appear in utterances or documents, and with structuring them so that arguments can be handled more easily by computers. In this paper, we focus on YouTube comments as the object of analysis and attempt to identify the logical relationships between parent comments and child comments as a preliminary investigation for applying Argument Scheme, which are commonly used in discourse analysis.
