Weakly-coupled multi-core fiber (MCF) has attracted considerable attention as a means of increasing the transmission capacity of submarine cables. We have previously reported that a four-core MCF implemented in a submarine cable exhibits favorable optical characteristics. In this study, we investigated the temperature dependence of crosstalk (XT) in an MCF cable and report the results.
