In recent years, AI agents have increasingly been used to autonomously carry out tasks such as document preparation and program generation as part of structured workflows. Tools such as Claude Code are commonly employed in a mode where work specifications are provided in Markdown format and task requests are issued through prompts. On the other hand, for periodically executed tasks (cron jobs), such as collecting and notifying users of daily updates at specified times, resident AI agents such as OpenClaw and Hermes Agent are used. The latter type is particularly suitable for routine operations such as network operation and management. Therefore, we investigated the application of resident AI agents to network operation and management using a network simulator.
