[B-15-39]A Study of a Simple Observation System for Detecting Fluctuations in Moisture Content within Fields

A simple system was developed to provide small-scale farmers with real-time observations of changes in field moisture as a countermeasure against waterlogging and wetting. In this study, a demonstration experiment of a simple field moisture content observation system using LTE communication was conducted. The data reception rate in all experiments was 96.8%, demonstrating the realization of a remote observation system. Furthermore, similar relative changes in observed values were seen in soil moisture content and leaf wetness in both the evaluation equipment and the node sensors.
