The radiating E-plane cross-junction coupler, one of the key components of a 120-GHz-band two-dimensional beam-switching circuit, has a limited operating bandwidth of only 0.42% fractional bandwidth in the conventional design. In this study, the bandwidth of the radiating E-plane cross-junction coupler was enhanced by modifying the slot dimensions, the slot offset from the waveguide center, and the post arrangement. As a result, a fractional bandwidth of 2.16% was achieved, confirming the effectiveness of the proposed design method.
