The demand for internet communication services onboard Shinkansen trains is increasing. A variety of applications, such as web browsing, video streaming, and online meetings, are being utilized, and users are demanding higher communication quality. Although the Tokaido Shinkansen offers a free Wi-Fi service, it has not been able to provide stable communication quality across the entire route. In this study, we investigated the effectiveness of a device equipped with a communication traffic control function (Traffic Management Solution: TMS) in improving in-car Wi-Fi communication.
