This work presents a novel design methodology to create compact and broadband transitions to suspended stripline using a characteristic impedance profiling technique. This proposed approach allows for a smooth and low-loss transition from a microstrip line to a suspended stripline line. A comprehensive electromagnetic (EM) simulation was conducted, and a return loss better than -15 dB was achieved across the entire frequency range. Since the proposed technique is based on conductor tapering, it can also be adapted to create a transition to interface with other transmission lines.
