In recent years, wireless systems utilizing the D-band (110-170 GHz) have attracted significant attention for the realization of high-resolution radars and broadband communication systems. In particular, for next-generation FMCW MIMO radars, a compact circuit footprint is required to realize high-density antenna arrays. Therefore, this paper proposes a compact low-noise amplifier (LNA) that combines a cross-coupled amplifier and a transmission-line-based amplifier. The proposed circuit achieves a high gain of 30.6 dB despite its compact area of 0.114 mm2.
