To enhance acoustic experiences at music events, we have investigated the symplectic integrator (SI) method for highly accurate, multi-step acoustic wave propagation analysis. However, the required multiple FFTs during computation significantly increase processing time. While we conventionally used a "vector-type SI method" based on the continuity and momentum equations, this report proposes a "scalar-type SI method" to accelerate the process. This new approach eliminates particle velocity and uses the acoustic wave equation for sound pressure as the governing equation. We evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method by comparing it with the conventional vector-type approach.
