This paper studies stabilization of unstable periodic orbits in a boost converter: a typical circuit in switching power converters for renewable energy technique. First, we consider a control scheme based on the application of a higher frequency triangular signal to the lower threshold voltage in a piecewise constant model of boost converters. Using a piecewise constant modeling, we clarify the mechanism by which the resulting piecewise constant segments on the return map achieve stabilization of the unstable fixed point. Second, we investigate precisely the relationship between the frequency division $N$ of the triangular wave and the convergence characteristics of the digital return map under a specific unstable condition. Through numerical analysis, we clarify the existence of a distinct mathematical law where the system achieves global convergence to the target fixed point if and only if $N$ is an odd power of two ($N = 2^{2m-1}$).
