In this presentation, we introduce the concept of optical coating design for edge filters, which is integral to the precise design of hyperbolic metamaterials. Additionally, we examine the hyperbolic dispersion of surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) on a metasurface composed of subwavelength-scale metal grating. This examination is conducted by analyzing the surface waves excited by a near-field dipole. Through oblique angle deposition, we fabricate a metal-capped polymer grating that forms a split nanotube array. This array supports magnetic field resonance, functioning as elements in a left-handed metamaterial. We investigate the propagation properties of SPPs on the surface of the split nanotube array to demonstrate its versatility in designing an anisotropic metasurface.
