A voltage step-up circuit capable of efficiently han-dling ultra-low input voltages is essential for thermoe-lectric power generation. However, existing circuits de-signed for input voltages in the range of a few millivolts can only produce a maximum output power of 1 μW. In this study, the 1-mV voltage-step-up circuit was experi-mentally demonstrated with the output power beyond 8 μW via impedance matching not only with the thermoe-lectric generator (TEG) but also with the parasitic re-sistance of the boost circuit. It was shown by theoretical calculation that achieving an output power exceeding 10 μW requires minimizing the total parasitic resistance to below 20 mΩ. The results alleviate constraints on TEGs modules for broader applications.
