慢性腎臓病に対する医薬品開発は重要な社会的な課題である。これまで、国内外の製薬企業の薬理学的な創薬戦略として、アルポート症候群のモデルマウスを用いた薬理学的な研究が展開されてきた。本シンポジウムでは、国際的なアルポート症候群研究者による最新研究成果の共有と創薬戦略について議論する。
