This presentation will introduce the activities of the Osaka Science Museum Planetarium. Originating from the first planetarium in the Orient (1937), we are Japan's most historic facility. This report focuses on our unique, modern operational model that continues this legacy. We will detail our 26.5-meter, 20-degree tilted dome (250 seats) and its state-of-the-art hybrid system (renewed 2019-2022), which combines a Konica Minolta Infinium Σ-OSAKA (optical) with a 6K Media Globe ΣSE (digital). A key focus of this presentation is our operational principle: every single program we offer features live commentary by professional specialists. We will discuss how pre-rendered fulldome video is utilized, not as standalone tracks, but always integrated as components within a live presentation. This live-commentary-centric approach is strongly supported by our citizens, allowing us to welcome 350,000 visitors annually. We will also share insights into our diverse programming: two types of general-audience shows, educational programs for students, and "Family Time" sessions. On weekends and holidays, we offer the "Gakugei-in (Specialist's) Special." In this program, presenters (Gakugei-in) freely select topics based on their specialization or current astronomical phenomena, allowing visitors to enjoy each presenter’s unique style. The general-audience shows are updated every three months with original themes and scripts produced in-house. Finally, we will touch upon the fulldome video programs we produce (including commissions), which are distributed and screened both nationally and internationally.
