[O21-01]Planetarium for adults. Challenges and opportunities of experimental shows for adult audience.

Once a month, after the usual visiting hours Copernicus Science Centre is open at night for adults only. Every such evening is a special event. Each has a different main theme. All of them offer entertainment, interesting programme and innovative approach to science. We have ideas suitable both for fans of humanities and exact sciences. And every month those evenings are a challenge for planetarium... but in a fun way! Every such event has a special topic. Some examples are: ‘Crime scenes’, ‘Death’, ‘Drugs and psychodelics’, ‘Love and culture’. In planetarium we always try our best to create a special show that suits the topic. Often it is not easy! However, every time we find this challenge exciting and it drives us to explore the possibilities of the dome in ways that we would not think of before. And then during the evening we test those ideas on the best possible audience – engaged, fun-having adults! During this presentation we will take a look at some examples of our shows, how we made them, how it went and where did this experience lead us afterwards.
