It is profoundly meaningful to look back deeply at the past of the planetarium, which is now over 100 years old, and discuss its present and brilliant future together. The recent advent of digital planetariums has eliminated the traditional fixed notion of "projecting stars onto a dome" and the geographical barriers requiring one to travel to a specific location.
Now is the time for us to discuss the ideal form of the planetarium with an entirely free and flexible mindset. Let's actively incorporate diverse elements such as regionality (local), culture and tradition (heritage), and art. We can all become proactive participants and co-create a new planetarium culture for the next 100 years.
