This workshop introduces participants to practical ways AI can streamline the process of preparing scientific datasets for planetarium use. Planetariums increasingly rely on large and complex datasets. Converting datasets into a performant, dome-ready format can be time-consuming and technically challenging. In this session, participants will learn how to use AI tools, combined with Python, to generate hardcoded scripts compatible with common planetarium software systems. These scripts offer significantly improved performance compared to traditional workarounds, enabling smoother playback and more flexible real-time visualization of arbitrarily large data. No advanced coding experience is required!
