Session Overview:
In recent years, the field of disaster medicine has become increasingly diverse and sophisticated, highlighting the growing importance of international collaboration that enables countries to share their knowledge and experiences and to advance both academic and practical domains. With this shared understanding, the Japanese Association for Disaster Medicine (JADM) and the Korean Society of Disaster Medicine (KSDM) concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the aim of mutually sharing expertise in disaster medicine and fostering future collaboration in education, research, and practice. At the KSDM Annual Conference in November 2025, the Japanese side delivered presentations and shared its experiences. Building on this ongoing bilateral exchange, the present joint session is organized as a platform for the Korean side to present its practical experiences in disaster medicine, Mass Casualty Management (MCM), and CBRNE preparedness.
