In 1995, a planet was detected beyond our Solar System. Since then, more than 2000 extrasolar planets (or exoplanets) have been identified until today. Exoplanetology has recently entered a new era of characterizing known exoplanets in addition to finding new ones. Here I review recent progresses in and future perspective of exoplanetology.
