In order to clarify the long-range transport of microplastic litter in Asian region, we have collected rime-ice
and snow samples in mountainous area of Japan. We have observed microplastics using raman imaging
microscope and FTIR microscopy. We will discuss about the difference of characteristics of microplastics in
rime ice and snow. In addition, we will perform back trajectory analysis to discuss about the long range
transport of microprastics.
