[IO-8]中高生の顎関節症に対するビデオゲームの影響

[Purpose]
This study focused on the affect of video games on TMD Related-Symptoms (TRS) in junior and senior high school students.
[Method]
A questionnaire-based survey collected data from 1,000 students in junior and senior high school in Japan. Answering the questionnaire was considered as approval consent. The screening questionnaire for TMD was developed by Sugisaki et al. and was used to assess the possibility of TMD1). Binary Logistic regression analysis was used to examine the relationship between the likelihood of TMD and playing video games, as well as the relationship between psychosocial and behavioral factors.
[Results and Discussion]
Among the total participants 595 (59.5%) playing video games while 121 (20.3%) of them showed positive TRS according to SQ-TMD. Significant factors and odds ratios extracted were by logistic analysis with TMD as the objective variable were [video use game] (0.513) - sleep duration.
