The young must take care of the old; it is our obligation as a society to ensure that the super-aged are respected and revered and cared for. Improvements in health care make it possible for individuals to live into their 90s or 100s with regularity with a projection that there will be 4 million centenarians in the world by 2054. Although this is wonderful, it is also challenging because a super-aged society has unique needs and wants. In this presentation, the leadership capabilities that the young need in order to create the optimal environment to care for the super-aged will be discussed. The presentation will cover how to understand the super-aged to answer the question of where to focus limited resources so we may serve as many of the super-aged as possible.
