The fit of the implant-supported prostheses is highly complex phenomena that can include the range of the different criteria. The fit can not be achieved only by the prosthodontic measures and is already planned and determined during the implant planning and guided surgery.
For final implant prosthesis fabrication currently digital registrations (face, IOS, jaw tracking, X-ray) are made for virtual patient creation. However, the analogue techniques can enhance the reliability of the digital workflow.
Despite deviations during the final prosthesis production, other factors, such as abutment type selection can also influence the fit. To prevent the complications, the material selection becomes crucial. Also, the objective tools to evaluate the misfits and to coordinate the solutions are missing.
In this presentation laboratory and clinical study results related to the above mentioned topics will be presented.
