This JPS-PST joint symposium will feature four internationally active pharmacologists from Japan and Taiwan, presenting recent advances in the pharmacological regulation of inflammation, immune responses, fibrosis, and tissue regeneration. The session will cover fundamental mechanisms as well as emerging therapeutic concepts that are broadly relevant across organ systems and disease contexts.
The talks will highlight how immune and inflammatory signaling shape tissue homeostasis and pathology in diverse organs, including the central nervous system, cardiovascular system, skeletal tissues, and cancer-associated microenvironments.
By integrating perspectives from neuroscience, cardiovascular biology, bone biology, oncology, and immunopharmacology, the symposium aims to provide a cross-disciplinary view of how pharmacological interventions can modulate complex biological networks. The session is expected to stimulate discussion on shared mechanisms underlying chronic inflammation, fibrosis and cancer, as well as on strategies to promote tissue repair and regeneration.
