This study aims to elucidate microbial community structures in high-altitude bogs and analyze predator-prey dynamics using a mathematical model, based on water data collected by the authors from Oku-Nikko Senjogahara, Oze Oe Bog, and Sarobetsu Bog.Data analysis identified chrysophytes and ciliates as major eukaryotic microbial components. Based on this, we constructed a model with three equations: (1) bacteria, growing on chemical data and consumed by chrysophytes and ciliates; (2) chrysophytes, growing via photosynthesis and bacterial predation while consumed by ciliates; and (3) ciliates, growing by preying on bacteria and chrysophytes. This paper reports simulation results using this model. We specifically examine how the mixotrophic nature of chrysophytes affects competition for bacterial resources and predation pressure from ciliates, and how population dominance shifts with aquatic nutrient levels. Discussions focus on parameter dependence and consistency with field data.
