Localized plasmon resonance and plasmon nanofocusing are emerging modes for generating strongly enhanced and the localized near-field light in the vicinity of plasmonic nanostructures, which are of great significance to the research and application of near-field optics. We introduce the comparison between the near-filed light intensity generated by localized plasmon resonance using gold nanorod and plasmon nanofocusing using gold cone, considering the robustness to the structures. We choose three temperatues, 1337 K, which close but not exceed to the melting point, and other two additional temperatures which are 40°C (313.15 K) suitable for biological measurements as well as 100°C (373.15 K) suitable for metallic measurements. In the three situations, plasmon nanofocusing performs better than localized plasmon resonance when the wavelength is 785 nm. Our research provides the necessary foundation for the generation of near-field light in two different ways, which is crucial for advancing the understanding of near-field optics.
