In recent years nanowire based solar cells have attracted the attention of researchers for minimizing the reflection, transmission loss, increasing the absorption by optical confinement, and improved carrier collection efficiency in the axial direction because of the shorter carrier diffusion lengths. In this work we investigated the optoelectronic performance of hexagonal nanowire (HNW) based inverted (n-i-p) perovskite solar cell where we used CH3NH3PbI3 as the perovskite or the absorber material. The optimization of the geometrical parameter such as diameter (D), period (P), and filling ratio (FR) gives a variation in the optical and device performances. The optical simulation was conducted using Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) method and for our proposed optimized structure we got the maximum photon generated current Jsc (mA/cm2) of 33.54 mA/cm2. The generation rate of the optimized structure was investigated for the electrical properties of the photovoltaics (PV) parameters using Poisson’s, Drift-Diffusion and Continuity equation and achieved 23.88% efficiency for this structure.
