Recently, metal halide perovskites (MHPs) have attracted much attention as materials for optoelectronic devices in view of their high bandgap tunability and long carrier lifetime. We have reported Type-I double heterostructure CsPbBr3/CsSnBr3/CsPbBr3 on glass substrates with negligible spontaneous alloying. However, the growth on glass with relatively low substrate temperatures resulted in island-like polycrystalline thin films for the first layer, making the fabrication of double heterostructures with aligned orientations and flat interfaces difficult. In this work, we sought to employ newly cleaved mica as substrates for the growth of perovskite heterostructures. Meanwhile, the dependence of the surface morphology on the substrate temperatures, growth rates, and film thicknesses will be discussed.
