Since the initial reports in 2007, graphene has become a key material for spintronics due to its long spin diffusion lengths, weak spin-orbit interaction, long spin relaxation times, high mobility, and scalability. For spin-polarized electron injection, graphene is often paired with ferromagnetic materials, with interfacial properties crucial to device performance. This study investigates using Fe3O4, a half-metal, as the injection electrode, aiming to fabricate high-quality single-crystal Fe3O4 on graphene and achieve a high-quality Fe3O4/graphene interface. Initial attempts to grow Fe3O4 on HOPG and commercial graphene surfaces resulted in polycrystalline Fe3O4. To improve the crystallinity, in-situ fabrication of graphene and Fe3O4 growth is planned, along with the fabrication of graphene spin devices.
