skyrmion
Magnetic skyrmions are nanoscale particle-like spin textures that can exhibit thermally driven Brownian motion at room temperature in solids. Peper et al. proposed Brownian token-based computing circuits, in which information tokens are transported by Brownian motion and can operate with ultra-low energy consumption. As physical information tokens for Brownian token-based computing, magnetic skyrmions have been investigated as promising candidates because they can behave as Brownian particles in solid-state materials .Toward the realization of such devices, it is necessary to implement and evaluate key functional elements that can control the stochastic motion of skyrmions.
