Tetragonal Heusler magnets are promising platforms for emergent spin transport phenomena arising from their rich electronic and magnetic phases. Here, we study Mn2PtSn thin films, a tetragonal inverse Heusler compound with a noncoplanar spin structure, using anisotropic magnetoresistance (AMR). Negative AMR is observed over a wide range of magnetic fields and temperatures, consistent with the sd scattering model and indicative of half-metallic transport characteristics. The AMR amplitude saturates at high fields, following magnetization saturation, and increases with decreasing temperature. These results suggest that the Fermi level lies near the edge of the half-metallic gap or that in-gap states exist, providing evidence for half-metallic transport characteristics in Mn2PtSn.
