Conventional Surface Enhanced Infrared Absorption (SEIRA) requires precise spectral matching of the vibrational bands of the molecule and the resonance of the sensing platform. Herein, we demonstrate a Fano resonance based off-resonant SEIRA with enhanced self-referenced sensing capabilities using a plasmonic metagrating. The grating was further utilized for molecular sensing.
