Pb1-xSnxTe, a IV-VI narrow-gap semiconductor, has recently been recognized as topological crystalline insulators (TCIs) that exhibit multiple Dirac cones and ferroelectric behavior. In this talk, we report the first observation of multiple Dirac-cone crossings in a (001)-oriented Pb1-xSnxTe thin film via Pb deposition onto the surface. We also determine the nontrivial band gap and demonstrate its enhancement by epitaxial strain in the thin film.
