An experimental investigation of attenuation dependent synchronization and secure key generation performance in a practical Coherent One Way Slim (COW-Slim) Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) system is presented. Experiments were conducted under channel attenuations of 10-20 dB and mean photon numbers ranging from 0.3 to 0.7. Performance was evaluated using Quantum Bit Error Rate (QBER), Secret Key Rate (SKR), click rate, and synchronization characteristics. Results show stable synchronization and consistently low QBER (2.3%-2.5%) under moderate attenuation conditions, while SKR degrades with increasing loss due to reduced detectable quantum events and detector noise.
