The Japanese government has declared 2022 the first year of the startup era. It has announced a policy to promote startups in Japan, especially startups from academia that solve social issues using advanced technology known as "Deep Tech". In particular, startups that solve problems in the medical field are probably the most critical area in Japan, which is said to be a country with advanced technologies. It is most efficient for medical professionals to pull the trigger on medical-related startups, and they can start up startups to develop medical devices and other products that meet the actual needs of the medical field. Of course, it would be best if physicians were to start their startups, but since it is difficult for them to work on clinical practice, it would be ideal for them to team up with someone who can manage the company. The development of new medical devices and the discovery of new drugs require much development capital. More than just focusing on the Japanese market to launch a new product and recover the investment is needed. We should focus not only on the Japanese market but also on overseas markets. By turning medical-related products into exports that earn foreign currencies, we can contribute to the Japanese economy and help sick patients worldwide. In particular, entering the U.S. market, which accounts for 45% of the global medical-related market, will benefit Japan greatly. The speaker will explain his ambitions, including his fantasies.
