Carbothermic Silica reduction using an induction heating furnace of 40 kW were studied, a briefly explanation of our furnace is presented, a discussion of alternating raw materials were introduced and their ratio, effect of the carbon crucible size has examined and the influence of the heating speed and the time necessary for the reaction in the silicon production were discussed.
The efficiency of the reduction, XRD analysis, Raman spectra and SEM of the obtained products were discussed.
