Silver is one of essential raw materials for Crystalline Silicon solar cells. Main aim of this study is to forecast the supply and demand potential of silver used for PV (Photovoltaic) until year 2050 including China, Japan, EU and USA. Primary silver supply is estimated by Hubbert Curve. The demand is obtained by combining PV installation forecast and technological progress. The result shows that supply restriction might occur around 2030 because of high growth rate of PV installation. The study can contribute to suggestion for effective policy making for PV sector.
