Coal is one of vital energy resources for Indonesia. It has been indicated by a regulation given by the Government of Indonesia No.2934 K/30/MEM/2012 on minimum sale of coal percentage for domestic market in every mining company. In conjunction with such a government regulation, this paper will evaluate the efficiency of the logistics cost of the coal supply. Evaluation is carried out by developing a coal transaction model and determining the logistic cost based on Indonesian coal data of supply and demand in 2013.
