The oddity of resource scarce economies performing better than resource endowed economies has attracted much attention in economic history. This paper explores the relationship between mineral resource wealth and economic growth from 1967-2011 in Botswana. Other economic determinants such trade policy, government efficiency, investment and income inequality are used as control variables to examine if the relationship between mineral endowments and economic growth hold. Possible pathways for the relationship will be explored using linear regression and non-linear method.
