As the global leader in minerals and metals processing technology, Outotec has developed many breakthrough technologies over the decades and has provided leading technologies to customers in mining and metals industries. For example, half of the world's pyrometallurgical primary copper is produced with Outotec Flash Smelting, one-third of the world’s hydrometallurgical copper is produced with Outotec SX-EW.
Outotec Coated Titanium Anodes (CTA) are one of recent innovative technologies. CTAs are alternative anodes for Pb alloy anodes which have been used in metal electrowinning processes for a century. The main benefits of CTAs are a significant energy saving, improving health and safety by eliminating lead from operation processes, improving cathode quality, reducing production costs. Here, I present Outotec CTAs technology and other recent hydromet technologies are also shown.
