Many advanced technologies have been reached in the last decades through technology improvement, however Afghanistan’s cement industry continues to hold old technologies like wet kiln system which consequently impose environmental pollution from cement manufacture causing a huge problem in Pol-e- khamri city, Baghlan province in Afghanistan. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) which is a tool to measure environmental impacts of human activities can analyze entire environmental burdens (consumption of natural resources, emissions to air, soil, and water) of a product or service throughout its life cycle. This paper analyses the environmental impacts of Ghori cement factory by LCA including the limestone and coal mine transportation emission to the cement factory as inside of system boundary as well.

Our study aims to assess the carbon dioxide CO2, nitrogen oxides (NOx) and Sulphur dioxide (SO2) emissions by cement production and compare to Japanese cement factory to find environmental friendly production system.
In consequence, measurement of the environmental impacts of cement production factory will be obtained and a solution for reducing the emission by alternative fuel and technologies in the Ghori cement factory will be suggested.
