The symposium “Myopia Clinical Science” features five expert presentations addressing current strategies for myopia control. Dr. Ngo will discuss the efficacy of MiSight contact lenses. Dr. Nakamura will present findings on low-concentration atropine eye drops and their role in slowing axial elongation. Dr. Ninomiya will explore the optical design of soft contact lenses and their influence on peripheral defocus, a key factor in myopia development. Dr. Hiraoka will provide updates on orthokeratology and its effects on axial growth control. Lastly, Dr. Igarashi will introduce emerging data on low-dose red light therapy, which shows promising results in reducing myopia progression and observed fundus changes after stimulation. This symposium will offer foundational theories and strategies for myopia control, and attendees will gain insight into multiple approaches, especially for myopia in children.
