[ME1-5]Evaluation of a Phase Shifter for Optical Switches Using an Nb2O5 Waveguide with Ferroelectric Liquid Crystal Cladding

In order to increase the phase shift effect due to the refractive index change of the cladding, optical switches using Nb2O5 core waveguides were studied. A wavelength shifting operation was obtained by the fabricated device.
