The total absorption gamma-ray spectroscopy (TAGS) measurements are in progress in Europe and the US. JENDL must keep up with this progress. We review the present status of the TAGS measurements and scrutinize the problems related to introduction of TAGS data into FP summation calculations. We will clarify the remaining role of the gross theory.
