[2B03]Electrochemical Behavior of Zirconium in Molten LiCl-KCl-Li2O for Fuel Debris Treatment

To develop processing of fuel debris, selective fluorination and molten salt electrolysis have been proposed as separating uranium and plutonium. We have investigated electrochemical behavior of zirconium in molten LiCl-KCl-Li2O-ZrF4. As a result, reduction current of zirconium decreased and shape variation of voltammogram depending on concentration of Li2O could be observed.
