A method of resonance absorption spectroscopy using laser plasma with microwave irradiation is developed for remote elemental and isotopic analysis in a strong radiation environment. In this study, we observed the spatial distribution and time evolution of the gadolinium resonance absorption signal by irradiating a laser beam at 422.7 nm into the plasma generated from a sintered gadolinium sample.
