Cavity ringdown spectroscopy (CRDS) is a highly sensitive laser absorption spectroscopy using multiple reflections in an optical cavity. In this research, aiming at the analysis of radionuclides and trace isotopes, we develop a DC glow discharge CRDS method in which the target in a sample is atomized by DC glow discharge and then is analyzed by atomic CRDS. Here, we constructed a system using a laser in the 400 nm wavelength band, performed spectroscopic experiments on gadolinium isotopes, and observed gadolinium isotope spectra.
